Don't Compromise Your Convictions
Have you ever felt that the road you are traveling seems to be filled with boulders and detours. Ups and downs that affect your dreams and visions. Feeling like you have been brought out of captivity and seeing the promised land only to find yourself wandering in the wilderness.
The book of Numbers teaches us about Moses and the children of Israel. The Lord spake unto Moses saying "Send thou men, that they may search the land of Canaan, which I give unto the children of Israel: ..... (KJV)
Moses commanded the men to go out into the countryside to see what the land had to offer. They scouted the area saw the land was overflowing with milk and honey, the harvest was plentiful and as instructed they commenced to bring back proof of the goodness. They also saw the people, the armies and the walled cities and that frightened them.
They came back and reported of all they had found. A land just as God has promised but their fear of the strong army, the walled cities and lack of faith would be their roadblock to receiving all the Lord had promised.
Because of the lack of faith and their belief in only their own abilities, they compromised what should have been their conviction to believe "If God brought them to it he would bring them through it".
Moses on the other hand did not let any of these things deter him from telling the people we must go forth. He believed. You see for Moses to be effective when he went against the crowd, he needed 3 things:
1. The facts - The Lord loves us
2. Right attitude - He will bring us safely through
3. Clear belief - The Lord is with us, do not be afraid
These three simple things are all that you need to stand tall against any adversary. Know that what the Lord has led you to do is what he planned for you. Trust in him to make a way regardless of the circumstances around you. Believe that the Lord is always with you and will never leave your side.
By always standing tall and not allowing ourselves to be caught up in the disappointments that fall in our path we will ultimately see the land of milk and honey that the Lord has promised to each and every one of us.
Never compromise your convictions based on what your eyes see, and your ears hear. Always trust in God he will make a way out of no way.

Thought For Today
July 28, 2008
When persecution comes, when friends or family criticize you, when coworkers call you a fanatic because you love Jesus and aren't afraid to say so, rejoice! Shout hallelujah and leap for joy! Don't get all caught up in what people think and what people say down here on earth. Get caught up in pleasing the Lord. Get caught up in finishing your course with joy. Get caught up in the glorious hope that's ahead. For that hope is enough to make anyone--under any circumstances--leap for joy!
Blessed are ye, when men shall hate you, and when they shall separate you from their company, and shall reproach you, and cast out your name as evil, for the Son of man's sake. Rejoice ye in that day, and leap for joy: for, behold, your reward is great in heaven: for in the like manner did their fathers unto the prophets. Luke 6:22-23
Have a blessed day and prosper. Share The Word. Remember: Leap for Joy
