The Bible in 90 Days - Day 21

Day 21  - Favor of The Lord

(1 Sam. 16:1 – 1 Sam. 28:19)

1 Samuel 16:7 (NKJV)

7 But the LORD said to Samuel, “Do not look at his appearance or at his physical stature, because I have refused him. For the LORD does not see as man sees; for man looks at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart.”

1 Samuel 16:12 (NKJV)

12 So he sent and brought him in. Now he was ruddy, with bright eyes, and good-looking. And the LORD said, “Arise, anoint him; for this is the one!”

In the eyes of the world outward appearance is everything. Your color, your size, your social standing all these things play a significant role in how the world treats you. A well dressed person with a house on the hill gets more honor and praise than the man with a heart of gold.

In the eyes of the Lord your heart is everything. The way you treat your brother says so much more about who you are than you could ever imagine.

Every sacrifice from your heart that you make for the children of God puts a smile on our Father’s face. Your kindness and mercy towards the needy shows the Father just how much you love him. Every good deed is noticed. All these things done in love brings love and peace from above.

Do not live your life based upon the standards set forth by man. Live everyday for the glory of the Lord. The Lord’s favor will rain down upon you and your household to the point of no containment.

Wouldn’t that be real success? Are you ready to reign?

Follow the Journey.
