Day 22 – The Battle Is The Lord’s

(1 Sam. 28:20 – 2 Sam. 12:10)

2 Samuel 3:39 (NKJV)

39 And I am weak today, though anointed king; and these men, the sons of Zeruiah, are too harsh for me. The LORD shall repay the evildoer according to his wickedness.”

2 Samuel 5:10 (NKJV)

10 So David went on and became great, and the LORD God of hosts was with him.

Good against evil. Spirit against flesh and blood. Your way versus God’s way. How many times have you tried to seek retaliation or accomplish a task your way because you couldn’t wait on the Lord? Did you subconsciously believe that you could make it work sooner or even better. You planned and planned, put it into action only to have it fail. Then you thought to yourself  “Woe is me, I guess it is not the Lord’s will”.

Do you not realize the moment you stepped in God stepped aside? The very moment you put your plan into action you put your faith and trust in God on the back burner. And when your plan failed did you go running back to God?

Instead of trying it your way, you should always leave it up to the Lord. He will never leave you nor forsake you. The Lord will always fight your battles because the battle is not yours, it is the Lord’s. His way is the only way. He is the truth and the light. Let his will be done because the peace you seek can only be found in the Lord.

Can you be a soldier in his army? Will you let him win the battle for you? Once you join the fight for the kingdom, you’ll never regret it.

Follow the Journey.
