Blessed Assurance
Genesis 1:28-31 (NKJV)
28 Then God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.”
In the beginning God created heaven and earth. God created man and woman in his own image and blessed them. He gave them dominion over all he created. God’s plan was for us to have everything in abundance. But we allowed ourselves to be misled and have been paying the price ever since. Because God loves us unconditionally he has given us free will. We can either choose to follow his commands and experience all his goodness and blessings. Or we can choose to follow our own decrees and the ways of world and suffer his wrath.
The Lord saw how great man’s wickedness had become and he was grieved in his spirit. As the scripture states God wiped mankind from the face of the earth and then gave us a second chance. You see God is a God of second chances. You can confess with sincerity and repent of your sin and be assured that it will be wiped from your record. When you choose to follow the Lord he will bless you in ways you can’t even imagine.
Trust in the Lord, Do not be afraid. He is your shield and great reward.
