Day 20  - Disobedience

(1 Sam. 2:30 – 1 Sam. 15:35)

1 Samuel 15:22 (NKJV)

22 So Samuel said: “Has the LORD as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, As in obeying the voice of the LORD?  Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, And to heed than the fat of rams.

Although you were once small in the eyes of man has not the Lord exalted you to a place of honor. In that place did you stray ever so slightly leaning unto your own understanding? Have you misinterpreted that small still voice when the Lord spoke to you? Were you partially obedient?

By not doing EXACTLY what the Lord says when he says it , we put ourselves in danger of being rejected by the Lord. We lose his favor and the blessings that come with it. We should never think that we know a better way of fulfilling the Lord’s commands.

The Lord God knows what he wants us to do and how it should be done. His words test our faithfulness and trust in him. Let us not be so full of ourselves that we risk losing the favor of the Lord.

Is partial obedience and disobedience worth the rejection? Will you miss your anointing because of yourself?

Trust and obey the Lord. Experience the abundance of his blessings.

Follow the Journey.
