Day 5 (Ex. 1:1 – Ex. 15:18) Deliverance

Exodus 6:6 (New King James Version)

6 Therefore say to the children of Israel: ‘I am the LORD; I will bring you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians, I will rescue you from their bondage, and I will redeem you with an outstretched arm and with great judgments.

Have you ever felt oppressed? You try and try but someone or something for reasons beyond your natural understanding refuse to let you succeed. You take one step forward and find yourself two steps back. You walk the path you believe is destined for you but many pebbles, rocks and even boulders seem to be at each turn. Fear not the Lord sees your every deed. He hears your cry for deliverance.

Ex. 3:8 reassures us that the Lord will come down and rescue us from the hand of our (Egyptians). He has promised to bring us out of that land and into a land of milk and honey.

Even when what you see with your eyes makes you feel that all hope is gone, behold our Lord says he would never leave nor forsake us. Everything that we go through is a test of our faith.

You may go through storms, pestilence and despair but keep your eyes on our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. He will see you through.
